Secret Santa Gift Ideas Under £30 (UK 2026) That Are Actually Funny
Secret Santa has two rules: stay under budget and do not be the person who brings a candle. Here are ideas that get a laugh and keep you under £30.
The quick rules
- Stick to the agreed budget. Going over makes others look bad.
- At work, keep it safe for work. Funny, not personal.
- If you do not know them well, pick something useful or something shareable.
Under £30 ideas
1. A personalised Christmas video
A real crew shouts their name, performs your message and dances for them. It gets played at the party and shared in the group chat. Basic packages start under £30. See the crews.
2. A desk plant that is hard to kill
A small succulent or snake plant with a silly name tag.
3. A good mug and a bag of proper coffee
Boring on paper, used every day in practice.
4. A card or party game
Something the office can play at lunch in January.
5. A "survival kit"
Tea bags, biscuits, lip balm and a handwritten note. Cheap to build, easy to personalise.
6. A book related to their hobby
Running, cooking, football, true crime. Shows you paid attention.
Keeping it anonymous
A video message can be anonymous. Sign it "Your Secret Santa" and let them guess. Wording ideas are in our Christmas video message guide.
